Integrative and Holistic Herbal Medicine

Trauma-informed and inclusive support for people experiencing chronic ailments. Common conditions supported include fibromyalgia, mold illness/exposure, toxic heavy metals, Lyme disease, chronic Epstein Barr, cognitive challenges, skin issues, and autoimmune disorders. Mon primarily works with herbal and nutritional therapeutics, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations. Herbal recommendations can look like custom formulated tinctures/extracts, powders, and teas. Mon also offers guidance on adjunct therapies (such as acupuncture, energy healing, etc) and advises on integrative approaches with conventional medicine when collaboration is possible and desired.

As a clinical herbalist, Mon works with people and not disease. This means that knowing specific diagnoses can be supportive of recommendations offered, but is not necessary to establish care. Mon looks to the root of the “disharmony” (aka illness) causing the ailment and creates a holistic approach to support the vitality of a person so that recovery can occur. In order to find the root of a disharmony, Mon uses an eclectic approach of assessment and case analysis referencing the traditional systems of Western Energetics, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Curanderismo.

Mon offers one reduced-cost session per month for clients unable to afford the standard rate. If you can afford the standard fee without risk to covering your basic needs, Mon asks you to please help them reserve reduced cost sessions for those in need. Please contact Mon at to check availability.

Liver Support Therapy

Two practitioners join forces to support you in your healing. Maeve is a Licensed Massage Therapist and certified Craniosacral Therapist.  Jennifer Gwin is a Licensed Acupuncturist.

This session begins with an acupuncture session that helps to open up the meridians, coupled with a heated castor oil pack to help open up the lymphatic system.  Generally the liver is one area covered plus one more area in the body.

Once you are all settled a unique combination of craniosacral therapy and massage is used depending on your specific needs.

Chinese Herbal Consultations

For as long as humans have lived on this planet they have gathered plants to help with nourishment, healing and ceremony. Here at NOURISH we honor this age-old tradition. Chinese herbal formulas are compilations of single herbs carefully put together to help balance out various conditions. Herbal medicine is used to treat acute issues such as a cough or allergies or might be prescribed to balance out the constitution and thus help to prevent future ailments. These formulas are safe and effective and don’t have the negative long term side effects on the liver and kidneys that many Western medications can have.

Sometimes a simple nutritional supplement is the most effective way to create a profound change in the body.  From Omega-3 fatty acids, digestive enzymes and mineral supplements to glandular formulas to support your hormonal axis, your practitioner will choose the perfect combination to help you feel better.  Sometimes supplementing your nutrition with one missing link can make all of the difference.
