Mon Iker (they/she) is a clinical herbalist offering integrative, trauma-informed, inclusive, and creative holistic health consultations for all genders and bodies. Mon is an Associate Member of the American Herbalists Guild (AHG) and completed training for clinical practice over the course of 4 years from ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism in NY. Additional certifications include Advanced Clinical Skills (Wild Current School of Botanical Medicine) and Trauma-Informed Herbalism (AHG). Mon has completed 1500+ hours of professional study with many teachers across the United States and beyond, some of whom include Richard Mandelbaum (RH), Claudia Keel, Samuel Perry (RH), and Ember Peters (HANS). In addition to professional study, Mon has tremendous personal experience allying with plants and fungi in their own recovery from many conditions, including fibromyalgia, severe mold and lead poisoning, Lyme disease, chronic EBV, autoimmune disease, depression, anxiety, and cognitive dysfunction. Mon is inspired by the remembrance of traditional herbal medicine as activism, dad jokes, and their curandera great-grandmother. Born in San Antonio, they currently practice both online and in-person between unceded Coahuiltecan and Lenape lands (south central Texas and NYC). Mon is also an interdisciplinary artist whose work has been featured in the NY Times and has shown internationally. They hold a BFA Magna Cum Laude from Trinity University and the Savannah College of Art and Design.
